Plot Synopsis
Nontawat Numbenchapol's documentary captures the fallout of the environmental disaster of Klity Creek in Kanchanaburi, which became heavily contaminated due to waste dumping by a lead mining company in the eighties and nineties. Dependent on the creek for water, the Karen villagers of Southern Kitty suffered lead poisoning that has caused decades of sickness, birth defects and deaths. The villagers' fight in court, one of Thailand's most high-profile environmental cases, lasted 15 years.
